NOTE: This is meant for the backpacker or budget tourist. This is by no means a definitive list; it isn't meant to be. Most of the list is Los Angeles, Downtown to West Hollywood, Hollywood Hills to I-10 The accomodations are examples of budget stays around the Hollywood area (not endorsements). Although their merit might be questioned, the eateries noted are places I've tried and survived. They are included because of food, reputation, and/or general weirdness. The sights are ones that might be overlooked by the casual tourist. I'm not listing most of Hollywood Bl, Sunset, Melrose and other "strips." These will be heavily pounded by most tourists.
